• Old Business:
a) Top Ontario Dogs: There are still 2 trophies missing, the Bumpy Lewis and the Jack
Brethet. We will continue to search for these trophies. Lee has posted the information
on the ORA website. Darlene will forward certificates for the top dogs to Howard.
The trophies will remain in possession of ORA, photographs will be taken and plaque
presented to winners.
b) Ontario Championship: We will get additional information from Bill Cumming
regarding the hats and ribbons to see if they can be used in the future. We will
donate the 20 pheasants to the North Bay Retriever Club for use at the 2010 National
Amateur. It was decided that the Ontario Championship be put on hold indefinitely.
• Club Insurance:
A discussion regarding ORA and club insurance ended with the decision that further
information is needed regarding incorporating our organization.
• New Business:
2010 dues - $100 Club, $25 Individual and $35 Family.
Renewals will be due in January
2010 Judges Clinic - Clinic will be held the weekend of April 24-25, 2010.
2010 Annual General Meeting - will be held Saturday January 9, 2010 @1:00 pm at the
residence of John Mairs.
Training Seminar - A discussion was held regarding hosting a Training seminar. We
decided that we would like to see the seminar conducted by Ontario pro/pros.
Howard will be the seminar coordinator.
• Entry Service -
There are two entry services interested in providing service in Canada. Retriever Field
Trial Entry Service and Entry Express. available to all clubs in the future. Advertising
and revenue will be discussed and decided at a later date.
• Website - The website is up to date and it was decided that as it is up renewal we will
renew with the same provider.
Possible additions to the website would be a judges directory, statistics, ads and links, a
membership directory, calendar.
• Raffle for print -Howard will print 500 tickets for the raffle. Tickets will be $2 each or 3
for for $5. We will have them for the AGM.
